recordation n. (1)登记 指将某一书面文件，例如契据或抵押文书，在公共登记机构进行登记的一种行为或过程。通常，登记的效果是使该人在登记财产上的权益优先于此后的买主或抵押权人，当然登记的效果因各种登记法律而异。亦作「recordal」。 (2)记录 以速记、录音等方式记录法庭审理程序的一种制度。

The act or process of recording an instrument, such as a deed or mortgage, in a public registry. • Recordation generally perfects a person’s interest in the property against later purchasers (including later mortgagees), but the effect of recordation depends on the type of recording act in effect. — Also termed recordal.
