recovery n. (1)(权利的)恢复，收回 指通过诉讼恢复或收回被侵占的权利或财产。 (2)收回土地的诉讼 替代旧时的「收回土地诉讼」〔action of ejectment〕。 (3)(通过诉讼判决获得的)赔偿额；赔偿金 (4)收回 旧时一种称作限嗣继承的阻却诉讼〔common recovery〕的拟制诉讼，目的在于将限嗣继承土地〔entail〕转变成非限嗣继承土地〔fee simple〕。这一扩大土地产权的方式已被1833年《拟诉弃权法》〔Fines and Recoveries Act〕废除。取消限嗣继承可由土地所有人及其最近的限嗣继承人共同签署契据来实现。(→common recovery)
