retraxit
retraxit 〈拉〉撤诉 指原告在公开法庭上自愿撤回起诉。其效果相当于法庭就案件实体问题作出判决，从而禁止原告就同一案由对同一被告再次起诉。相当于现代诉讼中的自愿撤诉〔voluntary dismissal〕或禁止再诉的驳回〔dismissal with prejudice〕。

retraxit (ri-trak-sit). [Latin “he has withdrawn”] A plaintiff’s voluntary withdrawal of a lawsuit in court so that the plaintiff forever forfeits the right of action. • In modern practice, retraxit is called voluntary dismissal with prejudice.
