separable controversy 〈美〉可分性争议指可以单独将其从州法院移送给联邦法院的独立诉讼请求或诉因，即使它与其他不可移送的请求或诉因被合并于一个诉讼中。根据《美国法典注释》〔U.S.C.A.〕的有关规定，如果某一案件中存在可分性争议，则可将全案移送给联邦法院，后者可以裁决所有争议，也可以将不可移送的事项发回原法院而只就剩余事项作出裁决。
