sweinmote n. (英格兰古法)森林法庭 指依据有关森林法建立的审理与林地相关之案件的法庭。由王室护林官〔verderor〕任法官，林地保有人〔sweins〕组成陪审团，管辖范围是调查有关森林官吏的强制或非法行为，审理由御林扣押法庭〔court of attachment〕提起的对于林中幼鹿或其它小动物犯罪的指控。 (→verderor; Court of Attachment)

A forest court held three times a year, before verderors as judges and freeholders of the forest as jurors, to try forest offenses. — Also spelled swainmote; swanimote; swainemote; swaingemote. “The court of sweinmote is to be holden before the verderors, as judges, by the steward of the sweinmote thrice in every
