tonnage n. (1)登记吨；登记吨位；船舶的吨位 衡量船舶容积的单位，在英国，是根据1965年《商船法》〔Merchant Shipping Act〕的规定丈量的。 (2)(货物每吨的)吨税 (3)(一国或一港的)船舶总吨 (4)〈英〉桶税 旧时英国进口每一大桶酒所缴纳的税赋，1787年被废止。该词更准确的形式应是「tunnage」。
