true verdict (陪审团的)真实裁断 指陪审团在经过认真评议后自愿作出的裁断，即使陪审员之间存在意见上的相互妥协，但只要他们内心是自愿的，仍然是真实的裁断；如果裁断是陪审团屈从于某些规则或受到法庭或法院官员的影响而达成的，则它不是自愿作出的，也就不是真实的裁断。
