use immunity 〈美〉证言使用豁免 指法庭强令证人提供具有自证其罪性质的证言，但允诺在随后对该证人的诉讼中不将该证言作为证据使用。此种豁免仅通过禁止实际使用强制所得的证言及直接或间接由此证言所得之证据而为证人提供保护。在给予证人此种豁免权后，若政府能从其他合法独立的来源获得证据，仍可对该证人提出控诉。 (→immunity from prosecution; transactional immunity)
