unus nullus rule

unus nullus rule (yoo-n[schwa]s n[schwa]l-[schwa]s). [Latin “one is nobody” + rule] Civil law. The evidentiary principle that the testimony of only one witness is given no weight. Cf. HALF-PROOF(1).
