chirographum (kI-rog-r[schwa]-f[schwa]m). [Latin fr. Greek] Roman law. A handwritten document, usu. an undertaking or acknowledgment of debt written in the debtor’s own hand. Cf. TYPOGRAPHUM. Pl. chiro-grapha.
