depositum (di-poz-i-t[schwa]m), n. Roman law. The gratuitous deposit of goods for the benefit of the depositor. • The depositee was liable only for dolus. See DOLUS. Cf. gratuitous bailment under BAILMENT; DEPOSIT(5).
