1. A reexamination or careful review for correction or improvement.
2. Parliamentary law. A general and thorough rewriting of a governing document, in which the entire document is open to amendment (bylaws revision).
3. Military law. The reconvening of a general or special court-martial to revise its action or to correct the record because of an improper or inconsistent action concerning the findings or the sentence. • A revision can occur only if it will not materially prejudice the accused.
