etc. 等等 即「et cetera」。主要是针对事物太多而无法一一罗列的省略用语。法国人有一句谚语，叫做「上帝把我们从律师的『等等』中拯救出来」，这是提醒律师少用「等等」，而应尽可能罗列明确。「and etc」是一个错误用法，因为「et」在拉丁文中本身即「and」之义。
