idem sonans 〈拉〉同音 对于两个姓名，即使很专注地倾听也难以区分它们的发音，或者由于日常的且长期的误用或简称已使得它们的发音相同，即认为这两个姓名同音。在法律上，同音规则并不要求在法律文书或诉讼程序(包括民事诉讼和刑事诉讼)中使用的姓名的拼写绝对准确。如果法律文件中出现的姓名与该姓名的正确拼写有所不同，但其通常发音与该姓名的正确拼写的发音实际上相同时，即认为法律文件中的姓名与所指之人为同一，而不将其认定为笔误〔clerical error〕，或者说这种错误是无关紧要的，不影响文件的法律效力。现在，同音规则的适用范围已通过法院判例被大大放宽了，即对于姓名拼写上的差别，只有在给对方当事人造成误导从而使其产生偏见〔prejudice〕时，才认为是实质性错误。
