revival n. (判决、合同、遗嘱等的法律效力或有效性的)恢复；再生效 １对在法定期限内未予执行从而不能再据其签发执行令的判决可通过法定程序恢复其执行效力；２对已过诉讼时效期间的合同或债务，由于当事人作出新的承诺或承认等而恢复其有效性；３立遗嘱人废除其撤销前一遗嘱的后一遗嘱或其他文件从而使前一遗嘱重新有效。在美国，许多州要求以重新公布前一遗嘱作为恢复其效力的前提条件。
