Geneva Convention on the Continental Shelf 《日内瓦大陆架公约》 1958年4月29日于日内瓦举行的第一次海洋法会议上签订,1964年6月10日生效。该公约试图解决公海的海床和底土的权利归属问题。根据公约的规定,沿海国为勘探和开发其自然资源可以对大陆架行使主权权利,但不得损害公海自由,不得干预其他国家在大陆架上的航行、捕鱼、敷设海底电缆或管道等权利。公约最后规定,如果大陆架邻接两个或两个以上国家的领海,在有关各国未能达成协议时,其分界线应与各国领海的基线距离相等。
